When I run the installer, it seems to work, but when I select the StudioShell item from the view menu get the series of messages in the attached file.

I'm getting the same error and same output with VS2012 Update 3 running on Windows Server 2008 R2. Clean install of StudioShell.

What version of PowerShell are you running? You can check this by examining the $psversiontable variable. In fact, please run this:

$psversiontable | clip

and paste the results into his issue.

I am on VS Update 3, and I just tried StudioShell and it now seems to work. I am not 100% sure that the update fixed it as I haven't tried in awhile. Here is my PS version info:

WSManStackVersion 3.0
CLRVersion 4.0.30319.18444
BuildVersion 6.3.9600.16406

PSRemotingProtocolVersion 2.2

I've tried uninstalling and installing older versions of StudioShell but that doesn't work. For every older installer I download and install, opening StudioShell gets the same error.

I've tried back to StudioShell.
