Just wanted to jot down some of my thoughts on the StudioShell console component as the project moves forward....
First, let me emphasize that the functionality studioshell offers is in no way host-dependent. That is, the consoles that ship with StudioShell are not required to use things like the dte: drive. They'll work in just about any host. Go
on, try it: open your NuGet console (cuz you know you have that installed too) and type:
You'll see the branding, the dte: drive will show up, you can do just about everything.
I have no interest in maintaining the console piece of this project; I *do* however have strong interest in an awesome console experience in Visual Studio that is also open source, and I don't think such a project exists yet...
